I'm curious about how to cancel a Lyft ride. I tried searching for instructions on how to do it myself, but I couldn't find them.

Can you please explain how to cancel a Lyft ride? I appreciate your help.

Lyft driver took a longer route. Can I get a fare adjustment?

They completely ignored the GPS and the price ended up being double the estimate. I'm wondering if Lyft actually fixes these things.

Lyft has a preset amount, sounds like your driver put his taxi hat on. I would complain to Lyft.

I tell them a shorter route if I know one , but I think that's why they attach additional fees I think because they assume you might not be aware .

I know that's frustrating, but from my experience as a Rider the TEMPORARY HOLD AMOUNT will be removed usually within 3 days! Lyft policy states this is done to secure payment! You should later only see yur TRIP Total Charge! So be patient as you monitor your account. Hope this info helped to ease your concern.

I’m looked at my card and it said y’all took 47.00 on the 16th of February and I never used my card that day and on the 14 you guys took 27.00 I really would like my damn money back now thank you!

According to the Lyft Help page, if you did not take a ride, this is an authorization, not a charge. Lyft uses temporary authorizations to confirm your payment method. The authorization will never actually process but may show as "pending" on your bank statement.
If you see a pending amount, your card issuer will remove it typically within 5-7 business days, and your card won't actually be charged.

According to the information provided at irs.gov, you cannot file the 1099-NEC Form that you print from the IRS website. To order this Form, you should go to irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-1099-nec.
As to due dates, you should file Copy A of the Form with the IRS by January 31, 2022. And you should furnish Copy B of this form to the recipient by January 31, 2022.

According to Lyft Support, you may request rides in the app once you’ve downloaded the Lyft app and created an account:
  • Tap ‘Search destination’ and enter your drop-off location;
  • Select your preferred ride type. You can learn more about different types of rides at Lyft ride modes overview;
  • Tap ‘Select Lyft’;
  • Confirm or change your pickup location before tapping ‘Confirm and request’.

If you had an issue with your ride and would like to request a price review, tap 'Request review' at the bottom of the receipt.
For further assistance please contact Lyft Customer Support by submitting your request on the company website.

How do I get the name of a driver I road with? I left my phone in the car.

I have every lyft receipt I've ever gotten but, except his? And it's the only 1 that matters.

According to the Lyft help section, all rides with the rides' detailed information as well as the drivers' names should be available in the app.
If you do not see your ride in the app, please contact the Lyft customer care team for assistance via the support form at help.lyft.com. You may need to provide the following information:
  • requesting passenger's name;
  • date and time of the ride.

According to the Lyft support section, tax info for the 2020 tax year should be available in a 'Tax Information' tab in your Dashboard by January 31st, 2021.
If you need to update your tax info with Lyft, go to the 'Payout Information' tab in your Dashboard.
Lyft support also states that since drivers are classified as independent contractors, they do not get a W-2 from Lyft. All drivers get an Annual Summary, as long as they have earnings in 2020. Some drivers may qualify to get a 1099 form from Lyft.

I was charged 3 times on 11/30/20 for rides I did not make today. I want that resolved.

$19.38 at 9am, $19.37 at 2pm and 16.63 at 9am. All on this dayb11/30/20.

I didn't not leave my house and/or take these rides. I want my account credited.

I'm in the same boat, how nice- no way to call any one. Did you get your refund? I lost out on making time and a half at work, got a point and was charged 48.00 from Lyft. They will never get any business from me again. Be sure to tell everyone as I have done. Give them the rating they deserve

Can we drive in other states with Nevada Business License?

I'm a Lyft driver based in Las Vegas NV. I was given a trip to Crompton, CA last week. Am I allowed to drive riders in California or other states from a Lyft booking having a Nevada Business License and Clark County Business License only?

According to ride.guru there is no formal round trip option on Lyft. However you may try to:
  • Open the Lyft app and enter your pickup address.
  • Enter your destination address, select the “+” symbol next to the destination.
  • This will allow you to enter a 3rd address. Enter the same address as step 1.

According to Lyft refund policy in order to request refund, you should:
  • go to the Lyft app,
  • click the Menu icon,
  • click Ride History,
  • find the ride and tap it,
  • click “Get Help”,
  • select the issue that applies to your ride. Some contain a “Dispute fare or charge” button.
